Quest Relationship Health Services:

  • Your journey begins with a comprehensive assessment. In our first meeting, we will take the time to get acquainted, discuss your history, and explore what brings you to therapy today. This is a safe space to share your story.

A Trauma-Informed, Person-Centered Approach. I understand that everyone has different comfort levels with therapy. My approach is trauma-informed, meaning we will move entirely at your pace. I tailor your treatment specifically to you, ensuring you feel safe and respected throughout the process.

Collaborative Goal Setting. Following our initial assessment, we will work together to set clear treatment goals. I will offer recommendations for therapeutic approaches best suited to your needs, but this is always a collaborative discussion. We will check in regularly to ensure our approach is working and that your needs are being met.

  • The Assessment Phase. Treatment begins with a comprehensive assessment to ensure I understand the full picture of your relationship. This process includes a joint session to discuss your shared history and goals, as well as individual sessions with each partner.

Prioritizing Safety & Readiness. My first priority is to ensure that couples treatment is safe, tolerable, and productive for both parties. Before diving into deep emotional work, I ensure that both partners possess the necessary coping skills to manage the challenging emotions that may arise during treatment. If individual treatment is indicated first, I will work with you to create a plan and set a date to revisit couples therapy.

My Approach: Communication & Connection. Once the foundation is set, we work to identify shared goals and improve the quality of your interaction. We achieve this by:

    • Practicing emotion identification and processing to deepen understanding.

    • Learning and applying effective conflict resolution techniques.

    • Moving away from blame and toward collaborative problem-solving.

Specialized Support: Strength at Home-Couples. For couples experiencing escalating arguments or high-conflict dynamics, I offer an evidence-based treatment called Strength at Home-Couples. If you are interested in this specific pathway, we will discuss the criteria and structure to see if this focused approach is the right fit for your relationship.
